Toddler Lead Teacher

The Toddler Lead Teacher role is onsite in Gallatin, TN. Compensation is $13–$15 per hour. First Presbyterian Church Preschool provides a classroom setting for toddlers’ learning and development. The lead teacher creates a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom and plans activities that support children’s growth. The role guides classroom routines, communicates with families, documents progress, and works with staff to provide consistent care and learning.

What you'll do

• Create and maintain a safe, warm, developmentally appropriate classroom
• plan and implement activities supporting social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development
• adapt activities to children’s needs
• establish routines for meals, naps, diapering or toileting, and transitions
• supervise children and maintain health and safety
• document developmental progress and communicate with families
• guide behavior positively
• maintain classroom records and lesson plans
• collaborate with staff
• participate in meetings and professional development.

Why this role
