The Painter – Day Shift role is an onsite, full-time position in Washington, DC. The hourly base pay range is $23.14–$37.04. The painter joins Howard University Hospital’s Facilities Management team, supporting the hospital’s patient-care and public spaces. The painter maintains clean, safe, and welcoming hospital environments by preparing and finishing surfaces, repairing damaged areas, matching colors, and completing decorative and signage work throughout the Health Center.

What you'll do

• Paint surfaces using brushes, spray guns, and rollers
• prepare surfaces and remove old paint
• select or prepare paints and stains to match colors
• repair damaged surfaces and fill holes, cracks, and joints
• create special effects
• cut stencils and paint signs
• operate painting tools and equipment
• complete required compliance training and maintain confidentiality.
