Certified Peer Specialist

The Certified Peer Specialist role is onsite in Indiana, PA; compensation is $15 per hour. Unity Family Services’ Peer Support Program aims to support hope, recovery, empowerment, self-determination, and community integration. The specialist uses lived experience and peer support to help clients set recovery goals, navigate services, build skills, and connect with community resources in a range of settings.

What you'll do

• Provide peer support in group homes, provider agencies, drop-in centers, community settings, and homes
• build trusting relationships
• advocate for clients and help them navigate health and social services
• coach clients in goal setting and recovery planning
• connect clients with resources
• support vocational choices, communication, social skills, and self-help groups
• contribute to assessments and individualized service plans
• document services and participate in team meetings when requested.
