Security Guard, Warming Center

The Security Guard role is onsite in Mount Morris, NY, at the Livingston County Warming Center. Compensation is $35 per hour. The role contributes to safe center operations through patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and communication with staff and emergency responders.

What you'll do

• Follow safety and security standards and complete incident reports
• patrol assigned areas
• monitor site access and alarm systems
• inspect doors, windows, and gates
• open and close buildings
• report suspicious activity and hazards
• warn people of rule infractions
• contact emergency responders as needed
• approach suspicious persons and, when required, detain violators until police arrive
• provide backup to Warming Center staff, direct incoming calls, welcome visitors, and attend briefings and trainings.

Why this role
