The driver transports freight on solo or team routes across the 48 states, handling the relevant equipment and cargo requirements while meeting delivery appointments, communicating with dispatch, and maintaining safe, compliant operations. Reefer work includes monitoring temperature and operating the refrigeration unit; open-deck work includes load securement and compliance with cargo regulations.

What you'll do

• Operate assigned semi-truck and trailer
• perform pre-trip inspections
• transport and deliver freight
• use ELD systems and comply with Hours of Service and DOT cargo-securement requirements
• for reefer loads, operate and monitor the reefer unit and verify temperature requirements
• for open-deck loads, distribute weight and use straps, chains, binders, tarps, and related equipment
• communicate with dispatch, submit documents and updates, and arrive for appointments as scheduled.
