Certified Water Treatment Operator

Job overview

The Certified Water Treatment Operator works onsite in Weston, CT and surrounding areas, for $26–$32 per hour. The full-time schedule is 40 hours per week and includes weekend shifts and participation in an on-call rotation; a company vehicle is provided for travel between job sites. The operator runs and monitors drinking water treatment facilities, conducts tests and regulatory sampling, maintains equipment and records, and supports safe, compliant, and reliable facility operations.

What you'll do

• Conduct water and wastewater tests, daily observations, lab tests, regulatory sampling, and meter readings
• enter results and report abnormalities
• troubleshoot equipment and perform maintenance and repairs under direction
• track supplies
• assist and train staff as needed
• maintain facility cleanliness and grounds
• follow safety procedures
• respond to scheduled on-call emergencies within 30 minutes
• support regulatory reporting when authorized.

Why this role

A Connecticut Class I Water Treatment Operator Certification or higher is required; wastewater certification is preferred but not required.
