It helps the department keep appointments and documentation organized while protecting patient confidentiality.

What you'll do

• Communicate with patients and schedule appointments, including confirming future appointments and next-day evaluations
• explain visit costs and insurance benefits as needed
• collect payments and complete end-of-day totals and batch collections
• coordinate with rehabilitation staff and therapists on referrals and scheduling
• verify demographic and insurance information, prepare intake packets, and scan documents into the EMR
• answer department calls and monitor faxes
• manage cancellations and fill openings from the wait list
• create new patient charts
• confirm DME Proof of Delivery and ABN documentation
• schedule progress notes
• maintain confidentiality
• provide coverage at other clinic locations as needed.
