Job overview

The Personal Care Aide – Daily Living Support position is onsite in Oakton, Virginia, with daytime, evening, or weekend work blocks available. Compensation is $15–$20 per hour. The role supports clients of Decena Home Care in living safely and independently at home. The aide provides hands-on personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, companionship, and transportation support. By assisting with daily routines and noting changes for the supervising nurse, the aide helps clients maintain comfort, safety, and independence.

What you'll do

• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, and safe transfers
• guide ambulation, walker or wheelchair use, and therapist-directed range-of-motion routines
• prepare simple balanced meals and monitor hydration
• perform light housekeeping and laundry and conduct fall-prevention checks
• provide medication reminders and note condition changes for the supervising nurse
• offer companionship and escorted outings
• drive or accompany clients to appointments, groceries, and community activities.

Why this role
