The Material Handler 1 role is onsite in Chicago Heights, IL. The material handler moves, records, organizes, and catalogs materials and picks items for production jobs. The role supports inbound and outbound shipments and production flow while following safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

What you'll do

• Follow work orders, pick lists, bills of lading, and shipping documents
• calculate weights of parts and shipments
• read and follow production schedules
• safely operate jib and overhead cranes and powered industrial trucks
• move, log, organize, and catalog materials
• pick material for production
• follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED is preferred; forklift and crane certification are preferred. The role requires reading shipping documents, using a tape measure to at least 1/16 inch, and basic arithmetic.
