The Crossing Guard role is onsite in Elkins Park, PA, with compensation of $20 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday during the school term, 8:30–9:30 a.m. and 2:30–3:30 p.m. The role supports pedestrian safety in the Cheltenham Township community. The crossing guard helps children and other pedestrians cross safely at an assigned intersection by monitoring traffic and directing vehicles and pedestrians. The position contributes to a secure school-day environment through a visible presence and adherence to traffic and safety procedures.

What you'll do

• Drive a personal vehicle to the assigned location
• observe children, traffic, and signals
• advise children when to wait and cross
• stand in the roadway to stop traffic and direct vehicles to stop or resume
• interact with children and parents
• report hours in the ADP payroll system
• perform other assigned duties.
