The position supports Scholar Rock’s payroll function at a biotechnology company developing treatments for spinal muscular atrophy and other rare neuromuscular diseases. The manager oversees end-to-end payroll processing, compliance, records, audits, reconciliations, and payroll system administration. The role partners with Human Resources, other departments, and external vendors to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining regulatory compliance and reliable payroll operations.

What you'll do

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing
• review and approve payroll data, including earnings, deductions, taxes, benefits, and off-cycle payments
• ensure compliance with payroll laws and company policies
• maintain records, controls, and audit trails
• prepare and reconcile payroll reports, general ledger entries, accruals, tax filings, and year-end activities
• resolve employee payroll issues
• monitor regulatory changes and recommend process updates.
