Staff Counselor — Early Morning Hours

The Staff Counselor — Early Morning Hours is an onsite role in Garland, TX, with scheduled hours Monday–Friday, 5:30 a.m.–11:00 a.m., and Saturday, 6:30 a.m.–8:30 a.m. Compensation is not specified. WTCR provides methadone and buprenorphine treatment and counseling for people with opioid use disorder, with a mission to support recovery and improve patients’ quality of life. The counselor delivers services as part of each patient’s treatment plan and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. The role uses trained therapeutic approaches, develops and documents individualized treatment plans, supports admissions and assessments, and contributes to case coordination and quality assurance.

What you'll do

• Conduct counseling sessions in person or by video at required intervals
• draft and document individualized treatment plans
• maintain a caseload and appointment schedule
• participate in patient admissions and assessments
• collect toxicology-screen specimens as required
• assist with patient transfers
• participate in clinical supervision
• support compliance, chart audits, and quality assurance
• communicate respectfully with patients and the treatment team.
