Director of Learning and Development

The Director of Learning and Development role is onsite in Nashville, TN. Compensation is $90,000–$100,000 per year. The role supports Volunteer Properties’ multifamily communities by developing and retaining the people who help operate them. Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the director leads talent acquisition, onboarding, training, performance management, leadership development, engagement, and retention initiatives. The role turns organizational needs into practical programs and partners with leaders across the multi-state portfolio.

What you'll do

• Lead recruiting strategies and processes for onsite and operational positions
• partner with hiring managers on sourcing, interviewing, selection, and candidate experience
• oversee onboarding programs with 30-, 60-, and 90-day milestones
• assess training needs and develop programs
• lead training on leadership, communication, performance management, customer service, fair housing, safety, workplace conduct, and company systems
• manage performance-management processes
• build career pathways and leadership-development programs
• analyze turnover, engagement, recruiting, and performance data
• support engagement, recognition, retention, and organizational change
• partner with leadership on acquisitions, new properties, technology implementations, policy changes, and other initiatives.
