The Weekend Companion role is onsite in New Smyrna Beach, FL, on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pay is $16 per hour. Community Resource Network of Florida supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in pursuing independence and community participation. The companion provides supervision and support for a young adult during home activities and community outings. The role promotes safety, communication, choice, independence, and socialization while assisting with daily living needs and transportation to activities and appointments.

What you'll do

• Encourage and support home activities
• assist with personal hygiene
• prepare meals and perform light cleaning
• maintain a safe environment
• accompany the individual to social events, grocery shopping, and appointments
• promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• complete daily progress notes.
