Body Technician/Painter

Job overview

The Body Technician/Painter role is onsite in Kansas City, KS, with day and afternoon schedule availability. Pay is $20–$35 per hour. Kansas City Peterbilt's Body Shop Department handles heavy- and medium-duty truck body work, collision repair, customization, add-ons, and warranty repairs. The technician repairs truck bodies and related systems, performs inspections and diagnostics, and documents completed work. The role supports quality repairs and customer service in a growing dealership body shop.

What you'll do

• Perform major and minor body repairs, including fiberglass, aluminum, and steel repairs and panel replacement
• weld steel and aluminum
• conduct vehicle inspections
• diagnose and repair ABS, HVAC, electrical, air brake, wheel-end, suspension, and steering systems
• perform preventive maintenance
• follow warranty procedures
• use electronic technical resources
• document repairs accurately.

Why this role

One year or more of body shop, collision repair, or mechanic experience is preferred. Onsite hands-on training is provided; CDL is preferred but not required.
