Human Data Engineer

The Human Data Engineer role is onsite in Palo Alto, CA. The salary range is $144,000–$220,000 per year. The role supports SpaceXSI’s Super Intelligence work, including its models and applications, by connecting engineering teams with human data operations. The engineer designs and delivers data and evaluation projects that produce useful training signals, measure data effectiveness, and improve model quality. The role also develops data workflows and tools, maintains data integrity, and coordinates across engineering, research, and Human Data teams to support rapid model development.

What you'll do

• Partner with model and engineering teams to translate needs into data projects and evaluation strategies
• own delivery of data and evaluation projects
• build tools to measure data effectiveness and run evaluations
• maintain data integrity and factual accuracy
• research and evaluate data collection, annotation, generation, and multimodal techniques
• improve annotation workflows and tools
• coordinate with Human Data Operations and stakeholders and report status, insights, and blockers.
