Assembler/Grinder

The Assembler/Grinder role is onsite in McPherson, KS. Pay is $17.50 per hour. The role is part of the McPherson-based production team and reports to the Production Supervisor and Plant Manager. The position assembles and tests components and finished goods to product specifications and quality procedures. Cross-training in grinding and related production tasks helps the team complete work accurately and maintain production flow.

What you'll do

• Assemble components according to blueprints, bills of materials, work orders, checklists, and specifications
• test parts and finished goods against quality standards. Complete assembly checklists, monitor stock bins, and report stock needs. Use hand and pneumatic tools, follow safety procedures and the Wabtec Code of Conduct, and perform other duties as assigned. The role requires standing or walking for 10 hours a day, with minimal breaks, and wearing required safety equipment.
