What you'll do

  • Build students' bilingual skills and enhance understanding of the Spanish language
  • Help students gain confidence in navigating authentic sources
  • Teach students how to build and enhance foreign language skills
  • Cultivate students' cultural awareness
  • Share passion for the Spanish language to build a community of students confident in speaking Spanish
  • Build students' skill and comfort with engaging in conversation in Spanish
  • Work with the Spanish department to develop academic and engagement goals
  • Meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze and respond to trends in student work and assessments
  • Learn and implement strategies to differentiate instruction
  • Build positive relationships with students
  • Partner with students’ families
  • Engage in practice-based professional development, mentorship, and coaching
  • Participate in weekly, school-wide meetings
  • Partner with grade level team to develop academic goals and practice instructional strategies.

What we're looking for

Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience
1-2 years experience preferred.
