What you'll do
- Build students' bilingual skills and enhance understanding of the Spanish language
- Help students gain confidence in navigating authentic sources
- Teach students how to build and enhance foreign language skills
- Cultivate students' cultural awareness
- Share passion for the Spanish language to build a community of students confident in speaking Spanish
- Build students' skill and comfort with engaging in conversation in Spanish
- Work with the Spanish department to develop academic and engagement goals
- Meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze and respond to trends in student work and assessments
- Learn and implement strategies to differentiate instruction
- Build positive relationships with students
- Partner with students’ families
- Engage in practice-based professional development, mentorship, and coaching
- Participate in weekly, school-wide meetings
- Partner with grade level team to develop academic goals and practice instructional strategies.
What we're looking for
- Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience
- 1-2 years experience preferred.
