Senior Windows System Administrator

The Senior Windows System Administrator role is onsite in Rockville, MD, in an office setting. The target salary range is $110,000–$140,000 per year. The role supports TekSynap’s NRC-SNCC contract. The administrator maintains the contract’s Windows server and Microsoft environment, virtual infrastructure, endpoint systems, and related security and backup services. The work keeps systems available and maintained through administration, patching, upgrades, documentation, and user support.

What you'll do

• Administer and maintain Windows Server systems and approximately 100 physical and virtual servers
• provide Tier 1–3 system administration and helpdesk support for document management systems
• maintain Citrix XenDesktop VDI for 250 endpoints and on-premises Microsoft Exchange for 250 users
• manage VMware infrastructure, firewall, VPN, NAC, backups, and patching
• apply patches in accordance with government guidelines and DISA STIG findings
• support system builds, upgrades, migrations, deployments, and testing
• maintain system design documentation, standard operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
