Medication Specialist is an onsite, full-time role in East Boston, MA, scheduled for 36 hours per week with multiple schedules available. Pay is $47,500–$56,718 per year. The role supports North Suffolk’s residential services by promoting individuals’ health, safety, and quality of life through advocacy, teaching, care coordination, and medication documentation. The specialist supports medication observation and documentation, helps individuals with medical appointments, and maintains medication records and supplies. The role works directly with the Nurse Manager and Case Manager and receives weekly clinical supervision from the Nurse Manager.

What you'll do

  • Supervise or participate in medication activities, observation, documentation, and refills according to individual needs
  • audit medication binders weekly and report errors
  • assist with medication documentation and medical appointments
  • maintain individual records and prepare medication sheets when new medications arrive
  • print medication lists for clients
  • help maintain the medication room and supplies and remove sharps
  • attend trainings and receive weekly clinical supervision.

Why this role

A high school diploma or GED is required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred. CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain it is required. One year of experience in medication observation or dispensing is preferred.
