Part-Time Fitness Trainer

Job overview

The Part-Time Fitness Trainer is an onsite role in Yorkville, IL, reporting to the Club Manager. Pay is $16 per hour. The trainer runs Planet Fitness’s PE@PF group fitness program and supports the club’s goal of helping members build healthier lives. The role orients new members, leads small-group classes, and provides general instruction on safe equipment use—not one-on-one personal training. It also supports member engagement, a clean and safe workout environment, and front desk and club activities as needed.

What you'll do

• Conduct new-member orientation sessions
• design and lead small-group fitness classes
• provide general fitness instruction and equipment-use guidance
• encourage member participation and retention
• maintain a visible presence on the club floor
• clean and disinfect equipment
• report equipment or safety concerns
• record session participation
• and support front desk operations and club events as needed.
