Excavator Operator – Underground Utilities

The Excavator Operator – Underground Utilities role is an onsite, full-time position in Charles Town, WV, paying $25–$29 per hour. Turner Staffing Group is hiring for its site utility team, which installs underground water, sewer, and storm systems. The operator uses production excavators to dig trenches, position pipe and utility structures, manage backfill, and support safe, precise utility installation. The role also includes equipment inspections, daily logs, and occasional operation of support loaders.

What you'll do

• Excavate trenches to specified grades and depths
• lift and position pipe, trench boxes, and utility structures
• place and compact backfill
• occasionally operate loaders for site preparation and material handling
• complete equipment inspections and logs
• follow jobsite safety practices.
