Excavation Operator

The Excavation Operator position is onsite in Hanover, PA; compensation is not specified. The role supports Burkentine Real Estate Group’s residential construction work, including single-family homes and multifamily apartments. The operator coordinates daily work with the superintendent, laborers and subcontractors, then performs excavation and site work for foundations, utilities and drainage. These activities prepare building sites and support construction progress and safe installation of infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Coordinate daily work expectations with the superintendent, excavation laborers and subcontractors
• lay out footings from scheduled stakeout
• excavate, form and pour building footings
• install footer drain tile and stone
• backfill foundations and tamp
• prepare stone beneath slabs
• excavate utility trenches safely
• install roof drain and downspout piping
• construct and install septic systems, drywells, rain gardens and subterranean water storage systems.
