CDL Driver, Lumber and Building Materials

Job overview

The CDL Driver, Lumber and Building Materials role is onsite in Silvis, IL, and pays $20–$25 per hour. The driver reports to the General Manager and supports R.P. Lumber’s local lumberyard deliveries. The role helps customers receive building materials safely, on schedule, and in good condition. It combines commercial driving and jobsite delivery with yard support, accurate inventory paperwork, and customer service.

What you'll do

• Deliver lumber, shingles, drywall, millwork, and other building products to customer jobsites
• unload or assist with unloading using boom/crane, conveyor, Moffett, or by hand
• secure return loads
• complete delivery and inventory paperwork
• help load, stock, and organize materials
• assist yard customers
• inspect and maintain assigned vehicles and equipment
• keep CDL and DOT medical certificate current.
