Harvest Transportation Dispatcher

The Harvest Transportation Dispatcher role is onsite in Santa Maria, CA, and pays $20–$24 per hour. The dispatcher supports Alco Harvesting’s crop harvesting and transportation operations, which serve central and southern California and Yuma, Arizona. The role coordinates movement of harvested crops from fields to cooling facilities and delivery of packing materials to fields. Route planning, real-time communication, and coordination with drivers and field crews help keep harvesting transportation timely, safe, and efficient.

What you'll do

• Assign trucks and drivers to routes, ranches, and destinations
• monitor harvesting progress and adjust transportation plans
• communicate with supervisors and crews about crop readiness
• plan and optimize routes using software and relevant traffic and weather information
• provide drivers with instructions and updates
• coordinate with internal teams
• support compliance with food and transportation safety requirements.
