Original Equipment Manufacturer Manufacturing Technician I is an onsite role in Piscataway, NJ. Pay is $20–$25 per hour. HORIBA develops instruments and systems for scientific research, environmental monitoring, medical diagnostics, semiconductor manufacturing, and other measurement applications. The technician assembles and tests precision optical, mechanical, and electronic components used in instruments such as spectrometers. Careful alignment, adherence to work instructions and cleanroom and electrostatic-discharge policies, and accurate performance records support product quality and traceability.

What you'll do

• Clean and assemble precision optical and mechanical components, sensors, and electronics boards
• use work instructions, adhesives, small machines, and packaging processes
• perform optical alignments for spectrometers
• optimize and test with automated software and test equipment
• record traceability and pass/fail performance using a computer, Excel, and customer software
• follow electrostatic-discharge and cleanroom policies
• read CAD drawings and bills of materials for assembly.
