Wire Rope Assembler

Job overview

The Wire Rope Assembler role is onsite in North Charleston, SC, with pay of $19–$21 per hour. The position fabricates and assembles rope products to meet quality standards and customer specifications. The assembler interprets drawings and order requirements, calculates cut lengths and fitting needs, and operates equipment to produce wire, synthetic rope, and chain assemblies. Inspection, labeling, inventory records, and safe work practices help ensure finished products are accurate and ready for customers.

What you'll do

• Review drawings, blueprints, capacity tables, codes, and order specifications
• calculate wire rope cut lengths and fitting requirements
• splice wire rope and fabricate chain slings
• operate industrial swaging and proof-testing machines and forklifts
• tag and label products
• maintain inventory records
• report defective materials or products
• support shipping and receiving
• maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety guidelines
• assist with deliveries when needed.
