What you'll do

• Prepare, season, cook, and bake food for patients
• maintain production to meet serving schedules
• prepare meats, vegetables, soups, sauces, stews, casseroles, and desserts according to recipes and dietary guidelines
• consult the Registered Dietitian about modified diets as needed
• supervise dietary workers when the Food Service Director is absent
• check food temperatures and follow sanitation and infection-control practices
• maintain a clean, organized kitchen
• assist with room service procedures or other assigned work.
