Direct Support Professional (DSP)

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a contract onsite role based in Mount Vernon, OH, with compensation of $18 per hour during waking hours. This position supports the caregiving team at Creative Foundations, a Help at Home company. The role is responsible for providing one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The DSP will assist with daily living skills, encourage community participation, and help individuals achieve personal goals.

What you'll do

• Supporting individuals with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care (i.e.
• grooming, hygiene etc.), or transportation.
• Encouraging participation in social and community activities – shopping, social events etc.
• Helping people achieve personal goals and celebrating progress.
• Promoting choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Accurately documenting care, activities, and progress.
• Communicating with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
