The Commercial Driver License (CDL) A Trainee role is an onsite position based in Saint Paul, MN. The compensation for this role is $75,000 to $88,000 per year, supporting the supply chain and distribution operations at Mclane Company, Inc. This role exists to provide hands-on training and coaching to prepare individuals for a full Driver position. The trainee will learn to operate tractor-trailers safely, manage delivery documentation, and assist with product unloading to ensure efficient service for customers.

What you'll do

• Maneuver tractor into position to attach trailer and handle lines to secure.
• Operates truck in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Inspect tractor-trailer equipment for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Operates Driver Delivery Handheld (DDH), document delivery receipts/product temperatures and exceptions.
• Inspects trailer to ensure product is secure for undamaged transport.
• Rides and trains with Driver Trainer to gain knowledge of commercial driving regulations.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.
• Assists the Driver in unloading trailer and delivering product into customer premises.
• Provides customer service including on-time delivery of undamaged product, product returns and issuing valid customer credits.
