Mobile Phlebotomist and Paramedical Examiner

The Mobile Phlebotomist and Paramedical Examiner role is onsite in Oceana, West Virginia, with examinations conducted at client homes, workplaces, insurance agents’ offices, or APPS facilities. Compensation is $15–$60 per hour, based on examiner availability and completed examinations. APPS provides mobile life and disability insurance examination services for insurers. The examiner gathers health information and specimens so insurance carriers can complete underwriting assessments accurately and promptly. The work includes health screenings, measurements, venipuncture, specimen preparation, and documentation; portable EKGs may be performed when needed, with training provided.

What you'll do

• Conduct brief health assessments and obtain medical histories
• record physical measurements
• collect blood and urine specimens and occasionally saliva
• perform venipuncture using a two-tube vacutainer system
• conduct EKGs when needed
• prepare specimens for shipment and complete required documentation accurately
• maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements.
