The Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Hospice Aide is an onsite role based in Bettsville, OH. Compensation is $14.20-16.75/hour, and this role supports the dedicated hospice care team at SouthernCare, a part of Gentiva, in providing compassionate end-of-life care. This role exists to provide essential personal care and emotional support to terminally ill patients in their homes, assisted living facilities, or inpatient units. The Hospice Aide contributes to the team by assisting with hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation while observing and reporting changes in patient conditions to ensure comfort and dignity.

What you'll do

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients
• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting
• Support safe mobility, including use of walkers and wheelchairs
• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping
• Observe and report changes in the patient’s physical or mental condition
• Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of visits
• Attend team meetings and participate in Quality Improvement (QI) activities
• Practice infection control and follow safety protocols at all times.
