What you'll do

• Coordinate infection-control activities
• conduct surveillance and monitoring
• teach staff about infection control and isolation
• report issues and progress to facility leadership and the Infection Control Committee
• advise personnel on disease-specific precautions
• liaise with the local health department
• review infections
• investigate unusual clusters or pathogens
• conduct facility rounds
• train staff on surveillance reports
• compile infection data and support committee recommendations.
