The Vice President, Research and Development, Molecular Assay Development role is onsite in Hercules, CA, with a stated base salary range of $278,000–$400,000 per year. The position leads Global Assay Development within Bio-Rad’s Clinical Diagnostics Group, supporting development of in vitro diagnostic assays. The role aligns technical, quality, regulatory, supply, and commercial leaders to advance assay development and support submissions, audits, and portfolio goals.

What you'll do

• Set multi-year strategy and investment priorities for Global Assay Development
• own phase-gate governance, development standards, and performance criteria
• represent the organization on design-control governance and regulatory submissions
• set technology strategy and make/buy/partner recommendations
• own operating plan, budget, and talent strategy
• align cross-functional leaders
• communicate portfolio health and investment tradeoffs to executives.
