Machinist

Job overview

The Machinist role is onsite in Lebanon, NH. Compensation is $22.50–$25.87 per hour. GEOKON manufactures instrumentation and data loggers used in civil, mining, and structural engineering projects and is a 100% employee-owned company. The machinist sets up and operates conventional and special-purpose machines to fabricate parts and assemble products to specifications. The role uses drawings and work instructions to guide machining, checks finished work for conformance, and makes adjustments to meet tolerances.

What you'll do

• Read blueprints, sketches, and sample parts to determine tolerances, operation sequence, and setup requirements
• measure and mark materials
• select and secure fixtures and cutting tools
• set machine controls for speeds, feeds, coolant, and cut depth
• observe machine operation and adjust as needed
• verify finished work against specifications
• fit and assemble parts
• develop specifications from descriptions and drawings.
