Substitute Teacher

The Substitute Teacher role is onsite in Pontiac, MI. Compensation is $16.50–$20 per hour. The position supports classroom operations at Oakland Family Services’ Children’s Learning Center, with on-call part-time and full-time opportunities available for the fall. Substitutes help maintain child safety and continuity of care while supporting developmentally appropriate learning activities. Depending on qualifications, the substitute may serve as support staff, assistant teacher, or lead teacher.

What you'll do

• Assist with developmentally appropriate activities and learning
• maintain licensing and quality standards
• help keep attendance, meal, incident, medication, allergy, and sign-in records
• participate in team planning
• document children’s interactions
• assist with behavioral support plans as needed
• maintain the learning environment
• supervise children’s health and safety
• and participate in required professional development.
