The Folder Operator — Heidelberg Stahlfolder role is onsite in Temple Hills, MD. Pay is $24–$30 per hour. McDonald & Eudy Printers’ bindery and finishing department produces folded printed materials to customer specifications and deadlines. The operator sets up, runs, and maintains folding equipment while checking product quality and resolving operating issues. The role supports production schedules by producing accurate folds, minimizing waste and downtime, and meeting quality and safety standards.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate Heidelberg Stahlfolder machines
• interpret job tickets, layouts, folding schematics, and specifications
• adjust machine settings
• check fold accuracy, pagination, trim size, and product quality
• monitor performance and troubleshoot issues
• perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning
• maintain production and maintenance records
• coordinate with press operators, bindery staff, and supervisors
• follow safety procedures and assist with training junior operators or helpers as needed.

Why this role
