What you'll do

• Performs critical care and diagnostic procedures utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiopulmonary diseases on patients of all ages.
• Performs basic respiratory equipment maintenance, quality control measures and other administrative or technical tasks.
• Sets up and operates various types of respiratory care equipment.
• Performs a range of technical procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics.
• Demonstrates competency in proper airway care.
• Assesses patients appropriately, interprets results accurately, and suggests alternative respiratory treatment.
• Exhibits competency in the performance of routine patient assessment and in the ability to correctly recognize and interpret respiratory dysfunction.
• Functions as a respiratory care protocol assessor by delivering therapy and reassessing patients in a timely manner and maintaining proper and accurate documentation.
• Communicates regularly with physicians and nurses about patient care plans and updates.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate of an American Medical Association accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Experience

Acute Care Hospital experience preferred
