CNC Lead Machinist — Second Shift

The CNC Lead Machinist role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA, on a rotating schedule of three to four 11-hour shifts, with alternating Wednesdays; the listed second shift runs Sunday–Wednesday, 4:00 p.m.–3:30 a.m. Pay is $52–$72 per hour, depending on level. Divergent designs, manufactures, and assembles advanced systems for automotive, aerospace, and defense customers. This frontline technical leader coordinates machining work and supports quality and production performance. The role provides daily direction and mentorship, troubleshoots complex machining work, and partners with engineering and production teams to improve processes and maintain consistent execution.

What you'll do

• Coordinate machinists’ daily work and provide direction
• mentor team members and support the supervisor
• lead setup and operation of 3-axis, 3+2, and 5-axis machining centers
• troubleshoot machining, tooling, fixture, and process issues
• collaborate with engineering on manufacturability and efficiency
• refine tooling, fixturing, setup, and programming strategies
• support production ramp and continuous improvement
• maintain setup sheets and machining records
• support inspection and corrective actions
• promote machining safety and EHS standards.
