Prep Cook

The Prep Cook role is onsite in Chandler, AZ. Pay is $18–$21 per hour. The position supports The Mexicano’s culinary team in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. The prep cook prepares and organizes ingredients and completes basic food preparation so the kitchen can deliver consistent dishes during service. Maintaining sanitation and safe food storage supports food quality and efficient kitchen operations.

What you'll do

• Follow prep lists and daily assignments
• label, organize, and stock ingredients
• measure and prepare ingredients to recipes
• wash, chop, slice, and portion ingredients
• assist with sauces, parboiling, and other basic cooking
• prepare simple menu items
• maintain a clean and sanitary workspace
• store food safely and follow health and sanitation guidelines.

Why this role

Previous prep cook experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; culinary school training is a plus but not required.
