Medical Assistant, General Medicine (Temporary) is an onsite role in El Cajon, CA, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The temporary assignment is expected to last six months. The medical assistant supports providers, advanced providers, and registered nurses with patient-centered care and clinical administration. The role contributes to efficient visits by performing clinical services, coordinating provider workflows, and documenting care as directed.

What you'll do

• Communicate with patients
• take vital signs and intake information
• perform blood draws, vaccines, nebulizer treatments, ear lavages, and EKGs
• educate patients and provide resources
• prepare exam rooms
• coordinate provider workflows
• ensure visit information is available
• use electronic health records to process and document treatment plans as directed
• convey information under provider or registered nurse direction
• complete required training.
