The Train Conductor is an onsite role based in Harvey, IL. The pay rate is $53.61 per hour. This role supports the rail operations team at CN. This position exists to perform duties associated with the movement of trains, rail cars, and locomotives. The conductor coordinates the assembly of trains and completes ground-work outside the locomotive cab, ensuring safe and efficient rail operations.

What you'll do

• Ensure compliance with train orders, signals, and railroad rules.
• Provide and receive communication concerning the movement and placement of rail cars.
• Assemble and dismantle trains in the rail yard.
• Pick up and set off rail cars on-route.
• Observe, interpret, and relay signals.
• Operate track switches.
• Inspect the condition of train and equipment.
• Prepare necessary forms and reports.
