What you'll do

• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, toileting, and personal hygiene
• help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment through routine housekeeping and chore services
• may assist with meal preparation when assigned
• assist with transfers and ambulation
• assist with simple procedures when ordered by a physician and approved and supervised by a nurse
• support therapy personnel with rehabilitation processes
• encourage mental alertness and provide simple emotional and psychological support
• report changes in the patient’s condition or home situation
• document visits and incorporate reports into the clinical record as directed
• communicate care-plan changes and perform only assigned duties
• attend required in-service training.
