Behavioral Coach - School-Based Day Treatment

The Behavioral Coach role is onsite in Helena, MT, with daytime hours Monday through Friday aligned to the school day. Compensation is not specified. The role supports Shodair’s school-based day treatment program, helping students build skills for school and daily life. The coach provides steady support during students’ school day, helping them participate in classroom and therapeutic programming, develop social and classroom skills, and manage behavior safely. Working with teachers, therapists, families, and other team members, the coach follows individualized plans and shares observations that support coordinated student progress.

What you'll do

• Support classroom activities, therapeutic assignments, and educational programming
• model and teach classroom, manners, social, and safe emotional-expression skills
• redirect behavior using therapeutic communication and non-violent crisis intervention techniques
• follow individualized treatment and intervention plans
• observe and document behavior and share updates
• coordinate with therapists, teachers, parents, and outside providers
• participate in meetings and debriefs
• help lead summer programming and drive the van for pickup and drop-off as needed
• administer school-time medications after completing Medication Aide training
• complete timely electronic medical record documentation.
