What you'll do

• Depending on experience and assignment, measure, cut, bend, form, and assemble sheet metal components
• operate fabrication equipment such as shears, brakes, rollers, and plasma cutters
• fabricate or install HVAC ductwork
• install commercial ductwork, fittings, hangers, supports, and ventilation systems
• work with architectural sheet metal
• read drawings, take measurements, and work from specifications
• build custom metal components.
