The role identifies and tracks risks, supports security controls and configuration management, maintains vulnerability and patch compliance, and prepares assessment, authorization, and risk documentation to help protect government information systems.

What you'll do

• Review systems for security weaknesses and recommend remediation
• manage organizational cybersecurity risk and maintain a risk registry
• provide security guidance using NIST RMF and applicable policies
• advise on configuration management
• support vulnerability scanning and patch compliance
• assist with security authorization and DIACAP-to-RMF transition
• research and prepare cybersecurity policies, assessments, test reports, and risk reports
• recommend mitigation strategies.
