The Registered Nurse — Emergency Department Nights role is onsite in Gainesville, TX, with compensation not specified. The nurse supports the Emergency Department team serving rural North Texas. The nurse provides professional emergency nursing care, prioritizes treatment based on patient needs and department flow, and coordinates care with other disciplines and physicians. The role assesses and reassesses patients, responds to changes in condition, and supports safe, timely care across the lifespan.

What you'll do

• Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments
• triage patients and assign categories
• assess and manage pain
• monitor hemodynamic status and cardiac rhythms
• perform waived point-of-care testing
• administer medications appropriately
• assist physicians with procedures
• orient new Emergency Department employees
• participate in performance improvement and quality activities.
