Water Treatment Sales Support Service Technician

Job overview

The Water Treatment Sales Support Service Technician role is based in the Reno, NV area, with work from home in a territory and on-site service at customer locations. First-year base compensation is $65,000–$75,000 per year; a $675 monthly car allowance and travel expenses are also provided. Garratt-Callahan supplies water treatment solutions for industrial boilers and cooling towers. The technician supports existing customers and project work through water testing, system cleaning and flushing, equipment checks, and coordination with contractors. The role helps ensure water chemistry meets project specifications and supports timely commissioning, service, and documentation.

What you'll do

• Maintain the existing customer base in Reno and Northern Nevada
• perform water treatment tests and field water analysis
• lead chemical cleaning and pre-operational flushing of closed-loop chilled water systems
• work with mechanical contractors on pump setups, chemical dosing, and filtration
• install and calibrate chemical feed equipment and monitoring controllers
• service existing data centers by checking residuals, changing filtration, dosing chemicals, and writing service reports
• forecast chemical volumes, order supplies, track shipments, coordinate deliveries, attend weekly project meetings, maintain daily field reports and final documentation, and align treatment phases with construction schedules.
