School-Based Behavior Technician

The School-Based Behavior Technician position is based in Carlsbad, CA, and provides services in school settings; administrative tasks may be completed from home when not assigned to a client. Pay is $20.57–$27.60 per hour. The role supports Cortica’s school partnerships, extending neurodevelopmental care into educational settings. The technician provides one-to-one and group behavior support to students with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences. By implementing individualized plans, collecting progress data, and collaborating with educators, caregivers, and Cortica’s clinical team, the role supports student engagement, learning, and development.

What you'll do

• Implement behavior intervention plans and skill-acquisition programs aligned with student IEPs and school goals
• provide behavior-analytic services in one-to-one and group settings
• support communication, social skills, self-regulation, and self-care
• collect data and complete session notes and incident reports
• participate in observations, meetings, and training
• follow safety, crisis, de-escalation, and mandated-reporting procedures
• travel between assigned sites as needed.

• Weekend coverage required

Why this role

Consistent Monday–Friday availability from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM is required; minimum four paid hours per day when available and accepting assignments; school calendar includes unpaid breaks. BCAT or RBT credential may be required by the district within 30 days of hire.
