Early Learning Classroom Teacher

The Early Learning Classroom Teacher is an onsite, full-time role in Venice, FL, paying $15–$18 per hour. The teacher supports young children and their parents in the YMCA of Southwest Florida’s Early Learning program, focused on growth and development during the first five years of life. The teacher plans and leads age-appropriate classroom activities, documents children’s progress, and maintains a safe, supportive learning environment. The role also communicates with families and collaborates with colleagues to support children’s development and classroom community.

What you'll do

• Plan and lead daily activities
• document student progress
• maintain a safe, harmonious, clean classroom
• hold class meetings and parent-teacher conferences
• communicate weekly with parents
• prepare reports
• plan classroom activities and celebrations
• take attendance
• prepare snacks and serve meals
• supervise an assistant if applicable
• collaborate with staff and participate in meetings and school activities.

Why this role
